WORK EXPERIENCE UPDATE - FEBRUARY 2017
Unfortunately due to the number of Work Experience enquiries currently being received and the capacity available within WUTH it has been decided to review our Work Experience process. Therefore, we will not be offering any Work Experience placements until this review has been completed in May 2017.
Any placements already offered will not be affected.
Any further updates will be published on our Intranet Site.
We offer the chance to undertake work experience at our hospitals. Our aim is to help people understand and get a feel for their chosen areas of work, which will help them make decisions about their future careers.
What kind of placements are offered?
Doctors and nurses are on the front line of providing treatment and care and they are complimented by a wide range of other staff such as physiotherapists, dietitians, radiographers, healthcare scientists, healthcare assistants, porters, ward clerks and hotel services’ staff, all of whom perform essential roles often working directly with patients. Behind the scenes, the NHS relies on staff whose work in administration, finance, IT, estates and maintenance and human resources which keep the service running. Wirral University Teaching Hospital can offer all of the above placement opportunities and many more.
Please note that the placements we offer are limited. We cannot offer places to every applicant applying for work experience at the hospital.
