The Trust is delighted to announce that nominations for our PROUD Awards 2017 are now open.
This is an evening of recognition for our colleagues and our awards this year have been made possible thanks to our key sponsor Cerner and Hill Dickinson, NHS Professionals, Altodigital and Cube Creative as our key supporters.
This our opportunity to celebrate our Trust colleagues and to say thank you for the work they do throughout the year to benefit our patients.
As one of the biggest and busiest acute trusts in the North West, many people will have received care at Wirral University Teaching Hospital over the past twelve months.
It is not often that there is an opportunity to stop and reflect on the work that our 5,500 colleagues do to provide the best care possible for our many patients.
This is why we want to thank our individual colleagues and teams who have made us proud this year and who have gone the extra mile.
If you have been a patient of Wirral University Teaching Hospital and you would like to recognise an individual or team who has given you, or someone close to you, outstanding care, we are pleased to say that nominations are now open for our annual PROUD Awards celebration.
You may have been one of our 94,288 attendances to our Emergency Department last year. Alternatively you could have been one of our 108,948 new outpatient appointments in the last 12-months. Or, you may have received care as one of the 340,195 diagnostic examinations we performed.
In 2016/17 our Maternity Unit had around 3,239 births and you may have been one of the parents who were supported by our dedicated staff.
For any patients who received outstanding care, this is your opportunity to nominate those staff or departments who you feel deserves some praise.
It is simple to make your nomination for the Patient Choice Award by visiting our PROUD Awards page.
If you would prefer not to use our online facility we can post one out to you if you contact the Communications and Marketing team on 0151 604 7254.
Please be quick, as voting will close at midnight on Friday, 25th August 2017.
