You will be aware of the much publicised Cyber-Attack on a number of NHS organisations on Friday 12 May 2017.
This attack impacted organisations in different ways. In some cases computers have been infected with the ransomware virus; in other cases, computers/servers/internet connections have been shut down as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.
PLEASE NOTE: Wirral University Teaching Hospital has NOT been infected, although the risk for the Trust remains very real in which our Informatics team has been working around the clock to urgently address any on-going concerns to ensure our resilience as best as possible.
