NICE Evidence databases: CINAHL, Medline and AMED (NHS Athens account required)
UpToDate (available to WUTH & CCC staff) provides evidence based summaries of clinical topics covering more than 20 specialties, as well as nearly 1,500 patient information topics, and more than 27,000 graphics, tables and videos available to download into presentations. Use UpToDate as a starting point to gain a comprehensive overview of your topic.
Please note that Up to Date is an American resource. This is particularly important when using information on licensed indications, doses and treatment pathways. For UK advice please refer to the Medicines Formulary, the BNF or contact Medicines Information. OpenAthens details are required to access the BNF.

European Network of Occupational Therapy in Higher Education. Encourages lifelong learning in OT, includes details of webcasts and conferences.

The library service has been involved in the following projects alongside AHPs.
Literature searches on various topics including recent searches on:
• Shoulder pain and scapula dyskinesis
• Effective discharge planning for occupational therapy services
• Nutritional management of the acutely ill patient
Supporting AHPs undertaking further study to develop a search strategy and locate relevant journal articles on their topic.
Supporting physiotherapists and occupational therapists to search for and critically appraise suitable articles for Journal Club.
Working alongside a team of physiotherapists to set up their own Journal Club.
