The Haematology teams for Wirral University Teaching Hospital and the Countess of Chester Hospital work closely together to provide specialist services to the population of Wirral and Chester.
Our Trust has Four Haematology Consultants, One Haematology Nurse Consultant and Four Haematology Specialist Nurses.
The haematology department is based on the third floor Ward 30 at Arrowe Park Hospital. There are facilities for outpatients and day case patients within the department. Ward 30 provides inpatient care.
The Haematology Multidisciplinary team meet on a Monday this is where tests and investigations are reviewed, discussed and treatment plans agreed.
