Preparing for Birth
Whilst you cannot plan exactly what may happen during your labour and birth, it’s a good idea to feel prepared. A few things to help this are:
- Making a plan for where you would like to have your baby.
- Creating a birth plan or list of birth preferences/choices
- Packing your hospital bag Pack your bag for labour - NHS
- Attend antenatal education class
- Read about what happens during labour getting to know the signs of labour and when to call Maternity Triage.
- Read about feeding your baby.
- Having a plan for childcare if you have other children.
