The Patient Experience Strategy have responded to Wirral Mencap's feedback and created a video to help reduce anxiety.

In response to feedback from our patients, we have created a new Needle Phobia video in collaboration with Wirral Mencap. This co-produced resource aims to provide support and guidance for individuals experiencing needle phobia, offering options for reasonable adjustments.

The video was developed with valuable input from Wirral Mencap, ensuring it accurately represents the needs of their community. We are grateful for their partnership and dedication to this project.

Additionally, we would like to thank the clinical skills team at Arrowe Park Hospital for their assistance with the filming. The video will be integrated into their training program, enabling healthcare professionals to better support patients with needle phobia.

The Needle Phobia video and a supporting leaflet in multiple languages are now available. Please feel free to share this resource with your patients and colleagues.
