Our library team offers a variety of different training sessions.

We can arrange these to a date and time that suits your schedule. They can be in person, brought to your department, or via MS Teams.

Discover the basics of academic writing, in order to write in a clear and concise manner.

Learn how to find articles across a wide range of resources. This works best if you have a topic in mind. 

Before booking on, ESR has an introductory 15 minute elearning session to introduce the concept: '000 Health Literacy'. Our session is a 45 minute training that provides the tools and scenarios to practice communicating health information to patients in a bitesized way. 

A brief introduction to understanding medical terminology used in the hospital for NHS staff.

How to properly cite your evidence and avoid plagiarism in reports, essays, ect. Tailored to your specific citation style.  

How to write and build on previous knowledge and experience.
