Wirral University Teaching Hospital Celebrates International Nurses’ Day
Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH) joins the global community in celebrating International Nurses’ Day on May 12.
This annual event honours the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of nurses worldwide. Commemorating this day, we also recognise the remarkable diversity within the Trust’s nursing teams.
At WUTH, diversity is our strength. Our nursing staff come from various backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, enriching our patient care, and fostering an inclusive environment. We celebrate the unique perspectives and talents that each nurse brings to our hospital.
To acknowledge our nurses’ teamwork, the Trust’s new Deputy Chief Nurse, Julie Roy, and the senior nursing team visited wards and departments at both Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals to meet and thank everyone.
“I am delighted to join the nursing teams at WUTH and have been made to feel so welcome. I am impressed by the compassion and commitment to nursing that I have already seen,” she said.
International Nurses’ Day is celebrated annually on May 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
