Dietitians

Welcome to the paediatric dietitian’s team at Wirral University Hospital (WUTH).  Our team consists of 3 Specialist Paediatric Dietitians, each with their own area of expertise.

We are based at Arrowe Park Hospital and provide children, young people and their families with nutritional support to optimise their growth and development.  We cover a number of specialist clinics, working closely with consultants, specialist nurses other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic, patient-centred approach to care, and we are committed to providing compassionate and individualised support to each family we see.

Specialist areas include:

  • Allergy
  • Coeliac and other gastroenterology
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Diabetes
  • Faltering Growth
  • Neonatal

We are registered with and regulated by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We develop resources and guidelines using the most up-to-date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease.  Our service also provides advice, support and training for health professionals.

 

How to access the service

Children and young people must be under the care of a consultant paediatrician at Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH).

Accessing the service is by referral only.  Referrals can be made by via cerner, telephone or email.
