The Welcome Group:

The Welcome Group is dedicated to fostering a culture of compassion and understanding. We believe that by addressing the concerns and anxieties of our patients and their loved ones, we can create an atmosphere of trust and comfort, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of care.

This group consists of patients, caregivers, WUTH staff from various levels and job titles, HealthWatch Wirral, representatives from the Third-Party Sectors, as well as members of faith and spiritual communities.

Our Initiatives:

Orientation Videos: To alleviate the unfamiliarity of a hospital setting, we have developed informative orientation videos that provide a virtual tour and introduce our facilities, services, and friendly staff.

Ward Folders for Adult Inpatients: We understand that navigating a hospital can be overwhelming. That's why we have created comprehensive ward folders, designed to provide patients with all the essential information they need during their stay.

Signage Improvements: Clear and intuitive signage is crucial for ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. The Welcome Group regularly reviews and updates the signage throughout our hospitals to ensure that everyone can easily find their way.
