Board Members and Senior Management

The Board of Directors is responsible for the effective running of our hospitals in line with set objectives and priorities. It also sets out the strategic direction of the Trust including the development of services and monitors the quality of these. 

To help inform the strategic direction of the Trust, the Board also consults with the Council of Governors who represent the communities that our hospitals serve, including patients and staff. 

The Trust also has other Senior Management who may attend Board meetings but do not form part of the Board itself.

Board Membership

The Board is made up of Executive Directors, who have specific roles within the organisation, and Non-Executive Directors who bring a range of external experience to the Board’s business.
