Pharmacy - Homecare

Pharmacy Homecare is a service provided by NHS trusts to deliver medicines to patients who have a chronic illness which is controlled and stable.

We have a dedicated Pharmacy Homecare team working with the rest of the clinical team to process Homecare prescriptions and deal with patient and Homecare company queries.

Meet the Homecare Team –

Our team consists of the Homecare Pharmacist, the Homecare Technician and the Homecare Assistant.

Our Homecare Pharmacist is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the Homecare service. They ensure that all Homecare services meet NHS terms and conditions. They ensure the adherence to legislation and Government regulations. Provide value for money and meeting the high level of quality and safety expected. They support with clinical issues.

Our Homecare Technician ensures day to day running of the Homecare service. They meet with providers and clinical teams to resolve issues. They also manage invoice queries, escalate complaints and incidents and ensure the service is meeting their performance indicators. They monitor service performance and adherence to agreements and managing queries, complaints and incidents and ensure that all steps are followed to ensure a smooth service.

Our Homecare Assistant is the first point of contact for patients, staff and Homecare providers. They readily contact patients or providers to resolves queries and support with deliveries and prescription management. They also: process prescriptions, process invoices, track performance and report incidents and complaints and together with the technician ensure smooth running of the service.
