Washing

• Have a bath or shower before you arrive to minimise infection risks.
• Remove make-up: coloured nail varnish can interfere with monitoring; mascara stings if it enters your eye whilst you are asleep.
• Take-off jewellery: it can transmit electricity the surgeon uses to control bleeding which may result in a burn. You can wear a wedding ring which we will cover for the procedure.
